Range Guard is the only system on the market that uses Karbaloy® - a highly effective liquid suppressing agent that fights fires three ways: 1. Breaks the Chemical Reaction Karbaloy interrupts the chemical chain that causes fires to spread intensify. It stops fire cold Range Guard sprays its liquid suppressing agent (Karbaloy) on hot hoods, plenums and appliances - creating steam and cooling as only liquid can. This cooling action reduces damage and helps prevent reignition When discharged, a chemical chain reaction produces a soapy foam. Oxygen is cut off. The fire goes out. The thick layer of foam reduces the possibilities of reignition. Equipment that emits EXCESSIVE heat, flames, smoke, or which produces higher than usual Grease Ladened Vapors (such as 2 Fryers) would require a custom system. Installed Fire Suppression System Will Require an Equipment Layout. For Maximum 2" Gas Valve which equals roughly 3 million BTU's. This is Pre-Piped but the Installer will need to finish connecting the piping both to the Pull Station AND inside of the exhaust plenum after the hole for the Exhaust Duct is cut!
