The CM5 is ideal for total cleaning of any dry flat surface within the production of PCBs and many other applications. Supplied in stainless steel bodywork, the new CM5 meets clean room standards. The innovative design of the CM5 includes side pull out access of the cleaning roller module that makes maintenance and cleaning roller changeover the simplest of any clean machine. The CM5 is also fitted with a slide out access for the adhesive rolls that ensures continuous production flow during the purging operation. The modular cleaning roller assembly allows for easy change over of cleaning rollers. Removal of just one fastener allows the entire carriage to be removed in seconds for cleaning or replacement. The top and bottom rollers can be driven in synchronisation to ensure no rippling of laminated panels or thin films, while electronically controlled pneumatic separation of elastomer cleaning rollers allows comprehensive cleaning of dry film laminated panels without disturbing the protective Mylar layer. This feature also allows thicker substrates ( up to 10mm) to be processed. The Adhesive Rolls inside the CM5 that store the contamination can be pulled out to the side while the unit is still running. The elastomer rollers have a large enough reservoir to continue cleaning at optimum efficiency while the Adhesive Roll purging takes place. Pre-sheeted Adhesive Rolls mean that the purge operation can be carried out in seconds. The new Quick Release core chuck makes the change to a completely fresh Adhesive Roll equally quick, and requires no extra tools. Once back inside the CM5, the ultra low friction bearings ensure high performance, free rotation and extended life. For heavily contaminated lines the CM5 can be used with double size Adhesive Rolls, increase the time required between changes. 7Kv anti-static bars neutralises static charge in board and stops dust being attracted to the cleaned panel or film. This is particularly important with static-sensitive substrates, to ensure that a cleaned panel is not immediately re-contaminated with airborne contamination on exit. We have a wide range of external conveyors available, with belts or discs to suit different substrates and at various lengths to cover gaps in production lines or support different sized panels. The CM5 control panel is a combination membrane switch and LCD display. All the functions are accessible from here, power, speed, auto-reverse delay, and panel count which warns operators when to purge Adhesive Rolls after a set number of passes. The control panel can be password protected by a supervisor to ensure that settings are not tampered with. An optional Alarm/Beacon works in conjunction with the panel count system to provide a loud warning alarm and beacon flash when it is time to purge Adhesive Rolls.
