Manufacturer's Specifications/Features: (Please note that not all features may be included in this item) Spectra-Physics' Streamline-RL is an integrated, turn-key Raman fiber laser system designed for the development and Telcordia reliability testing of telecommunications components. Earlier this year, the company introduced new multimode pump lasers and Raman fiber lasers - active components used in the development of high-power amplifiers for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) systems. The Streamline-RL consists of a rack-mounted box containing a single 35-W semiconductor laser bar pump source, the fiber laser, a cascaded Raman cavity, and all associated power supply and control electronics. It delivers more than 5 W of randomly polarized output power from a SMF-28 single-mode fiber. Available output wavelengths include 1450, 1455 and 1480 nm. The device is CDRH- and CE Mark-approved, and operates on standard 100-240 VAC input line voltage. An RS-232 interface enables precise closed-loop power adjustment and facilitates automated testing and data acquisition. The product's high output power allows multiplex testing of many components simultaneously.
