ITS A a unique concept in hematology slide staining. fresh stain and other reagents are applied from atomizing spray nozzles onto smeared slides mounted in a rotating carousel. excess stain is removed by centrifugal force and the slides are rapidly dried during high-speed rotation of the carousel. red and blue stain components are stored in separate reservoirs and are sprayed through separate nozzles. each reagent has its own delivery line, internal electric pump and spray nozzle. reagent delivery is controlled by a microprocessor whose programmability affords a means of precisely controlling the amount of each reagent applied to the slides and hence, the final result. the carousel will accomodate from 1 to 12 slides and the staining cycle is completed in just over 3 minutes. panel touch-pad provides the operator with a choice of light, medium-light, medium, medium-dark and dark stain intensities. there is also a selection for bone marrow staining.
