This listing is for a Quanta chrome surface area / particle size analyzer. * Model LMFC4 Flow Control ___________________________________________________________________________________ Here is a little snip of information regarding this model... * Quantachrome Surface Area Analyzer * for Powders, Cloth, Irregular shapes, Porous Material, etc. * QuantaSorb - Monsorb Surface Area Analyzer Monosorb ( Model OS-10 ), BET Surface Area Analyzer System made by Quantachrome; a leader in powder technology. It is very sensitive, reliable, wide range, versatile, cccurate, and easy to use. It does not need to be left on all the time with gas flowing through it. It can be used with more than just Nitrogen as an absorbate; Ar, Kr, CO, CO2, and other non-corrosive gases. This system is for analysis of surface areas over a very wide range from as low as 0.1 square meters to over 250 sq meters in the sample cell. Part of this is through use of a very short path and a wide assortment of samples that can be obtained from Quantachrome. Measurements can be done in minutes compared to other similar instruments. Adsorption, warming the sample cell, desorption, and display of the surface area can be performed with ease. A cooling dewar ( not supplied ) can be raised and lowered around the sample for cycling. Reproducibility is less than 0.5% with accuracy about 1-2%. It includes a manual, a few sample holders, including a pychnometer crossover holder, a heating mantle with thermocouple and a long copper connecting tube, and high pressure ‘quick connnects’. Includes Large LED’s for direct reading of count rates and LED for reading Temp, Desorption, Adsorbtion, or I/B, a continuous Coarse Zero and a continuous Fine zero. There is a choice in sensitivity for Thres, Count Rate and Sens I/B with three temperature setting buttons and a protected glass Flow rate indicator and flow control ON or OFF. The top valve selects 3 flows, Adsorbate, Carrier, and Sample each with an ON / Off valve. There are 5 additional quick connects on the right side and the on the left side. The pressure is indicated on a meter from 0 to 60 pse ( 400 kpa) or 0 to 15 psi ( 76 kpa ). ___________________________________________________________________________________ This is used, but in very good condition.
