Pratt & Whitney Long Bed Cone Head Lathe: This is an old countershaft driven lathe that has been converted to a rear drive 5 HP electric motor (fairly new motor) with a two speed transmission. The lathe has a pretty nice 16 inch Bison 3-Jaw chuck and a needle bearing steady rest. The bed length is approx 15 feet from the chuck face to the end of the bed (16 + feet from the headstock). 24 inch swing over the bed. The lead screw drive gear has been broken (several times by the look of things) and will need to be replaced. All the pieces are either on the shaft or with the lathe. If you're looking for an inexpensive long bed lathe with decent capacity, this machine may be for you! Not a toolmaker's lathe but an excellent candidate for spray welding, metalizing, or similar operations. * All items are subject to prior sale.
