MOORE 1440 PRECISION INDEX ROTARY TABLE Accuracy of 1440 Spaces: +- Second of Arc Resolution 15 Minutes of Arc when new The Moore 1440 Precision Index is a serrated-tooth circle divider of highest accuracy using two face gears of identical shape and pitch. During operation, the table is displaced axially to disengage the teeth – and radially to the desired angle. The instrument is guaranteed to be accurate to within +- 0.1 second of arc at any of the 1440 indexed positions.* Compared to individual polygons, the 1440 Precision Index is easier to use and more versatile. Because of its accuracy, calibration and correction factors are not usually necessary. The 1440 Precision Index virtually eliminates closing and accumulated error in circle-dividing applications. The 1440 Precision Index is also suitable for many laboratory applications – including calibration of rotary tables, angle gages, master indexing plates, and geometric forms. This particular table has undergone a recent inspection by Moore and is still well within it's original manufactured specs. Probably the finest example of this table available in the world!!!! * All items are subject to prior sale. All items are sold "AS - IS, Where - IS" and with all faults.
