MedicAir Air Purification System The MedicAIR series of air purification appliances are designed and engineered to provide the most effective and comprehensive solution to indoor air pollution and contamination. The six-stage purification technology exceeds the highest standards of particulate capture, bacterial and viral organism destruction. Combined with a high-density carbon filter the MedicAIR also eliminates volatile organic compounds as well fumes, odours and vapours from the air you breathe. The sophisticated digital controls continually test and evaluate air quality and automatically adjust to the appropriate purification ratios to provide a constant flow of pure, clean air to your work environment. 1. The pre-filter catches the largest particles as room air is drawn through the intake chamber. The anti-biotic pre-filter prevents most bacteria and germs from growing. 2. The dual stage electronic precipitator captures 99.8% of particulate down to 0.01 microns in size, 15,000 times smaller than a human hair. In the ionizing section of the precipitator, billions of microscopic particles become electrically charged as they pass through the powerful electrical field and the collector plates immediately attract and contain these "charged" particles. The high-energy electrical field also kills most microorganisms that pass through. 3. The dual, high intensity anti-germicidal U.V. chamber kills all remaining sub-micron bacterial and viral organism at the nuclei to eliminate contagious health dangers such as influenzas, TB and Legionnaires. 4. The hybrid filter process captures residue from destroyed bacterial and viral organisms. 5. Finally, the photo-catalytic carbon filter absorbs odors, chemicals and gases as the "pure, clean air" is circulated back into the room. 6. The MedicAIR purification appliances process up to 700 cubic feet of air per minute. For example, in a 20 X 20 foot room with 8 foot ceilings (3,200 cu/ft) every cubic foot of air is completely purified every 5 minutes. By using a six stage process to filter the air of particles, pathogens, odors, fumes, bacteria and viral agents the purification system provides you with pure, clean air to breathe and reduces breathing problems for those with allergies and respiratory sensitivity while eliminating infectious risks. Very simply, they provide a healthier environment to live and work. The purification appliance comes with 3 fan speed settings: 1. Low - use for quiet, nighttime operation or for constant low-speed filtration. 2. Medium - provides a higher fan speed to quickly filter dust, dirt, pollen, dander, vapour, etc. from the indoor air. 3. High - provides massive purification volumes during acute periods. 4. Auto - The dust and vapour sensors and automatically select the appropriate fan speed depending on the air quality detected. The unit uses ionizing electrodes (needlepoint ionizers) to produce a high density of negative ions. Needlepoint ionization produces the highest concentration of negative ions than any other method. Negative ions are a vital component of clean, fresh air. The negative ion generation helps to improve indoor air quality and the rehabilitative properties are a vital component in post-operative recovery rooms, natal and burn units. When the photo-catalytic carbon filters needs to be replaced, just open the grill, lift out the old filters and drop the new ones in. No screws, hooks or other tools are required. 1. Air Quality Indicator -The air purifier constantly monitors and displays the indoor air quality in a bar graph. Monitor lights on the display panel indicate the concentration levels of contaminants in the room air. The monitor indicator rises and falls on a scale according to concentration levels. As the concentrations increase, the lights move up the scale and transits from yellow to red. The lower the indicator, the lower the concentrations. 2. Automatic function - Once the automatic setting is selected the air purifier automatically selects the fan speed depending on the air quality detected. 3. Filter replacement indicator - The filter change indicator on the LED display (6 stage, yellow lights) will tell you when it's time to change the filter. 4. Err indicator-This indicator will be turned on (continuously blinks in 1/2 sec.) if service is required. 5. Safety Feature: - The auto shut-off feature turns off the unit if you remove the grills in front of the air purifier to change the filter.
