MD Pneumatics (Now Tuthill) Model 5511 blower wtih 15 HP motor, vacuum booster configuration. This blower was used as a booster in conjunction with a 15 HP 2 stage liquid ring pump. The system was built by Sullair probably 20 years ago, when Sullair was packaging Travaini vacuum pumps under the Sullivac trademark. This vacuum pump/booster system was purchased for an application for which it would not work, and put in storage after only 275 hours of operation. I have the complete system but the controls are in bad condition, so am offering the blower as a standalone item. Blower had some surface rust on the rotors, so we disassembled and cleaned the entire unit. The blower has a piped by-pass with a solenoid valve that can be closed when the vacuum level reaches a point where the blower will not overheat. Can be used with or without this by-pass. |
