This unit was manufactured in 1999 by Leica, and purchased by UNC-Chapel Hill, NC in late 2000. The system has been in full service contract with Vashaw Scientific and has been well taken care of. The latest service date was Nov.1, 2006, and is due to service on Nov.1, 2007. The owner of this unit obtained new research grants, bought new instruments and retired this one in Feb. 2007. This is NOT a rebuilt unit with unauthentic parts and unknow usage history. |
