INDUCTION HEATING (Radio Frequency) TRANSFORMER POWER SUPPLY The main Transformer at it it's bases measure 12-1/2" wide, and 17-1/2" deep, and is 14" tall. There is a secondary transformer on top also. With that, and the cooling fan it's 22-1/2" tall. This is the talles point of this unit. The power taps start at 200. They go up to 250. The numbers on the primary transformer read: Serial # 77119. L.E.T. 66572GW. Secondary directly on top of it reads: Serial # 77106. L.E.T. 4213.There are 4 Tubes that are 8"tall, and approx. 2-1/4" in diameter. Looking at the back of the unit with them on your left. The 2 in front are EIMAC RX 21A. On the inside of the tube it reads 2R20249 (664). This is a Grid-Controlled Mercury Vapor Rectifier tube. The ones in the rear are EIMAC KY 21A. Inside read 120121 (457). This is a Half Wave Mecury tube. All 4 tubes are from 1953 error. +/-. While cleaning this up alittle. I accidently snapped the plastic on tube receiving plug sockett by moving it.. Should be fine. Little glue, and you would never know. It's where the screw holds the plug for mounting. Probably making it sound worse than it its. I found these tubes specifics on Electron tube data sheet's website.Water IN/OUT. Should be able to see one of the fittings is broke with some dried up coolant, or something in it. This feeds the Secondary, Ocillator tube, and Inductor. You would probably want to replace the hoses, and give the whole unit a good flushing using acid, or something simular. This whole unit need a going over, but is an excellent start. I mean you wouldn't want to fire it up without going through everything. Little dusty. There is also another fitting on the bottom of the Oscillator tube thats junk. You can see it in the picture. The Transducers are sweet. The large one is 12-7/8"long. It is 3" in diameter. Small one is 1"x 11-3/8" long. I didn't write the numbers down, but will have to look again. I'll try to update.Large Capacitors are Lapel. I would also have to say this whole unit was built by them. There are stickers all over it. One of them also read: Canadian Standards Association Approvals Laboratories. I wrote down one of their specific's and it read; Serial # 4-656. Type: 0044. KVA 500. Volts. 5,000. Amps - 100. Freq: 540. They look great, but unsure of their functionality. There are many different sizes, and shape capacitors throught this unit. Way too may to list.Oscillator tube. Very impressive looking as far as tubes go. The top leads are colored blue/yellow. It is a Federal tube. It's number is F-6399. It is a Water Cooled Power Triode. Notice that copper disc towards the bottom! This one I believe takes 222v A.C. input if increased to approx. 3,000 volts in the Power Transformer. Nice! I think the tubes alone are nearly worth the price of admission with this item. Secondary winding is made of 1/2" copper tube. Has a ceramic core. Great self contained heat treating unit. Perfect for a up comming project, or to replace, or start at a cost effective price! Please ask any, and all questions before purchasing. I will try to answer all.CHECK OUT SOME OF MY OTHER ITEM... |
