Hardinge 6 Position Indexer for DV59 Second Operation Lathe: The automatic indexing 6-position turret is used for rapid and accurate machining of repetitive parts requiring operations such as turning, drilling, reaming, counterboring, threatding and knurling. The turret assembly mounts onto a dovetail machine bed plate. A milled end screw, mounted onto the backside of the turret assembly, clamps the assembly into a slot milled in the rear of the machine bed blate to prevent the turret base from moving under pressure. This unit features a preloaded ball bearing turret head that is automatically unlocked, indexed to the next turret station, and locked by the operation of the adjustable lever handle. Each station on the turret has a maximum travel of 4 inches, with length being controlled by independent stop screws.
