This new root grapple skid steer attachment is hot-dip galvanized to extend its useful life. The galvanizing process prevents corrosion which can cause performance problems, result in increased maintenance costs and compromise safety features. The galvanizing treatment which lasts 30-50 years, will keep your root grapple performing longer and looking better than comparable painted attachments.
The hot-dip galvanizing process actually penetrates the pores of the steel and hardens it similar to a heat treatment process. This will insure that your root grapple will not be affected by corrosion due to moisture, salt water and chemicals.
This new, galvanized root grapple has heavy duty 9/16" tynes which will prevent bending when using in a severe environment. Other comparably priced root grapples are made using less than 1/2" thick tynes which are more easily bent and damaged by strenuous use.
The hydraulic cylinders operate independently to adjust for uneven loads and the hoses are immediately routed into cross brace tubing to prevent rupture damage. Many competitive products use cylinders that do not operate independently and hence will not clamp properly on uneven loads. The cylinders are 3000 psi, with a 2" bore and 10" stroke.
This unit comes with hoses equipped with flat face fittings ready to use with your skid steer. No work is required when you receive this root grapple other than to connect the unit and the hoses to your skid steer and begin working.
The six foot width of this unit will help prevent damage from snagging the unit when backing out of tight spaces.
