Lumenis Epilight HR IPL Hair Removal System EpiLight is an intensed pulsed light device for hair removal. EpiLight hair removal is based on the principal of selective photothermolysis. EpiLight consists of three major components: the system console, the operator control panel and the treatment assembly. The system is continuously monitored and controlled by an internal computer. The EpiLight is used for the removal of unwanted hair from all skin types. It is intended to effect stable longterm or permanant hair reduction in skin types I - V through selective targeting of melanin in hair follicles. Permanant hair reduction is defined as long-term stable reduction in the number if hairs regrowing after a treatment regimen.
