PRICE INCLUDES DELIVERY TO ANY PLACE IN THE LOWER 48. AND WE ARE OPEN TO ANY OFFERS This listing is for one antique and collectable peice of JD history, The Model 8 was the FIRST successful 2 row picker in commercial production. It changed everything about the cotton industry and the labor force that was used to harvest cotton. This machine is from the Central Valley area of Ca. and has been saved from rusting up by the dry climate. It is in need of an engine as the current engine is locked up and the picker was parked decades ago. Of course the rest of the machine would need a complete restoration as well. Here is a peice for the avid JD collector that is not easy to find!! Most of these have been cut up or rusted out long ago. We can arrange delivery to anyplace in the USA. Or it can be loaded on your loboy. Currently located at out yard in Hanford, Ca. The price is a bit negotiable and we are looking for offers. For an interesting history of this and other cotton harvestors from JD go to the last issue of the Two Cylinder Magazine. |
